Mok Lik (Eye Power)

At its highest level Mok Lik can be used to control situations before the other five elements are necessary. However, not adhering to Mok Lik will sacrifice the other five elements of good form with a top down effect. In applying Mok Lik the focus should be between the opponent's eyes; the so called third eye. By focusing on this point the head is held upright promoting proper structure and awareness. With practice the practitioner can learn to view his opponent through his peripheral vision "speed vision". Eventually even the slightest of movements can be sensed allowing for a response to the first signs of aggression. Responses during practice are against refined non-telegraphic movement. This aids early decision making on the street where aggression is generally projected outward in stereo sound.
